Bill Cotton

Bill is a Partner and Financial Advisor with Collegiate Financial Group (CFG) and serves as the firm’s Workplace Financial Education Director. Within CFG, Bill also assists individuals in making smooth transitions from university to university throughout their careers.

Bill has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, beginning in 2000 with a focus on the institutional side of the business. He has earned numerous high sales achievement awards throughout his career and has raised over $1 billion in assets for several companies. After a successful run on the institutional side of the business, Bill sought a new challenge and shifted his focus to the retail side of the business, where he could concentrate on helping individuals pursue what truly matters in their financial lives.

Bill is originally from Argyle, Texas, and is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He currently lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with his wife and their twin teenagers. Outside of spending time with his family, Bill enjoys playing golf, working out, and cooking. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Hollin Meadows Swim and Tennis Club and enjoys volunteering his time with the Men’s Group at his parish, Blessed Sacrament.
